After a year, I finally came around to complete and test my copy of the famous benjolin, an analogue synthesizer designed by Rob Hordijk and Joker Nies.

Here’s my first attempt to get some sound from it that is not only testing.

My plans regarding this little beauty are to utilise it as a sound source for my materiality project and, of course practice electroacoustic improvisation. On this track, Callum Goddard from the SOPI group made an interesting proposal to the upcoming 4for8 concert where he tries to control spatiality and other effects by only one sound source (in his case a bass guitar but hey, why not a benjolin?).
